About us

The Council on Resuscitation After Cardiac Procedures (CRCP) is an accrediting organization that oversees centers providing training for cardiac arrest after procedures such as cardiac surgery and cardiac catheterization. Our mission is to ensure that healthcare providers are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively respond to cardiac emergencies. We work with medical professionals, hospitals, and other healthcare institutions to establish standards of care and promote best practices in resuscitation. Our team of experts is committed to advancing the field of resuscitation and improving patient outcomes.

CRCP is the accreditor of programs who offer formalized training in arrest management for patients in the cardiothoracic ICU and cardiac catheterization lab / post catheterization recovery unit.  CRCP's mission is to ensure that a standardized, evidenced based approach is utilized in this management, supported by practice guidelines and ongoing research, with an emphasis on team based training.

Programs who are accredited by CRCP undergo an annual evaluation of their trainers and courses to ensure compliance with course delivery standards and established guidelines.  The goal of CRCP  accreditation is to ensure best care for patients by expecting best practice management of the arresting patient in all cardiac centers world wide.
